I win stuff sometimes.
Just dropping in to letchy'all know that I won an ADDY award this year for best illustration! The past year has taken me on some crazy journeys. I hope 2010 will keep bringing the good luck! (and no more floods, please, thank you.) A year ago, if someone told me I'd be an in-house illustrator living in Atlanta, I would have called them crazy. Look who's livin' in CrazyTown now, kids.

The Future is bright, and it hurts my eyes a little.
Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated here! D: Well, like I've said before, more updates can be found on my blog, but I'm continuing my work at Brown Bag Marketing while taking some freelance projects on the side. I'm getting my final book together, and working with an awesome web designer to get my site up and running. So, this means that, yes, I am finally done with Portfolio Center...as a student. Come summer of 2009, I'll be teaching there. I guess I just love it that much. I've moved to the Candler Park area, and love it very much. Working hard, playing hard, keeping calm, and carrying on.

New Unforeseen Developments
The past couple months has dealt me: 1) the break-in of my car and just when I was beginning to lose all hope of I've updated both the digital and traditional portfolio sections of my site, for your viewing pleasure. I update my blog a little more often than this one here, and I'm working on my AMAZING SITE LAUNCH (December 2009, y'all) that incorporates it into the framework. 'Til next time.

Staying in Atlanta
Well, it appears that I'm probably going to be sticking it out in Atlanta for awhile after I graudate in December. I have a lot of contacts here, and I'll probably need Gary's assistance getting my book together. For the first time, I'm really, really not sure what the future holds. What I do know is that I'm getting steady work, all the people I have ever done work for would reccommend me in a heartbeat, and I have been consuming more coffee in the past few months than ever before. Going to contemplate what this means.

Katieland just got a tiny bit bigger
You may have been directed here by the new domain www.seekatiedraw.com, which pleases me very much. Mosaicglobe is great, but hopefully this will be my website's temporary home while I'm busy building a Flash site that I can host myself and fix up the way that I fancy. I've managed to have the most bizarre week. My schedule is changing in terms of how early I wake up. Currently, I don't love anybody or anything before 9am, but this quickly has to transform, as I have three classes that begin at 8am this quarter. I figure it's better to have an early start, but I'm now finding that resisting an afternoon nap has been all but futile. Lord. Does anyone else have this problem? I wouldn't in a million years consider myself lazy, but my peak hours of productivity are definitely after 7pm. Projects I'm working on:
Meanwhile, I'm also trying not to kill myself with school work. So far this week, I've had two classes cancelled already, which resulted (my fault once, not my fault the other time) in waking up early for no reason, and, as previously stated...I'm sure you know how I felt about that. I've also updated all the pages with new artwork, and new linkage/ways to find me on the web. I hope you can follow me on Twitter, look at my mug on facebook, read my sketchbook blog, peruse through my flickr...etc etc etc. Thanks guys for all the support!
